Why clients stay

Forty-five years of not being the problem.

Most people do not change accountant because they found a better one. They change because the current one stopped answering, missed something, or sent a bill they did not expect. We have built the whole firm around not doing those three things.

You deal with the same person every time. You get a straight answer in plain English. And you know what it costs before we start, because the fee is agreed in writing in advance.

“Helping you succeed” — the line on our door since 1980.

Where we work

Based in Redditch town centre, serving Redditch, Bromsgrove, Studley, Alcester, Astwood Bank and the wider Birmingham area — in person or entirely remotely, whichever suits you.

Important for 2026

Making Tax Digital for Income Tax has started.

From 6 April 2026, self-employed people and landlords with qualifying income over £50,000 must keep digital records and send quarterly updates to HMRC instead of one return a year. The threshold falls in the years that follow.

If that is you and you are still working from a folder of receipts, now is the time to sort it. We will confirm whether it applies to you, get compatible software in place, and run the quarterly submissions at a fixed monthly fee.

Quick check

  • Self-employed or a landlord?
  • Gross income over £50,000?
  • Still filing one return a year?

If that is three yeses, the rules already apply to you. Call 01527 67232 and we will confirm in five minutes.

Changing accountants

Three steps. We do the awkward part.

  1. 1

    Free consultation

A no-obligation conversation about your business, your deadlines and what is currently going wrong. Nothing to pay, nothing to sign.

  2. 2

    Fixed quote

A written fee for exactly the work you need, agreed in advance, so there is never a surprise invoice.

  3. 3

    We handle the handover

We write to your old accountant, collect your records and take over the filings. Most clients do nothing beyond saying yes.

Straight answers

How much does an accountant cost in Redditch?

We quote a fixed fee for the work you actually need, agreed in writing before we start. The figure depends on the size of the business, the number of transactions and how tidy your records are. The free consultation exists so we can look at that properly rather than guess. See our fees page for how we price.

Is the first meeting really free?

Yes. It is free, informal and carries no obligation whatsoever. You can leave with useful advice and never come back — plenty of people do, and some of them send us clients years later.

I already have an accountant. Is switching a hassle?

Not for you. We write to your current accountant, request your records under standard professional clearance, and take over the filings. In most cases the only thing you do is say yes. Here is the full process.

Do I have to come into the office?

Only if you want to. We work with clients face to face at Huxley House in Redditch and entirely remotely by phone, email and secure file sharing. Many clients we have not seen in person for years.

What areas do you cover?

We are based in Redditch town centre and work with businesses and landlords across Redditch, Bromsgrove, Studley, Alcester, Astwood Bank and the wider Birmingham area — and remotely across the UK.

What if I have missed a deadline or already have a penalty?

Tell us anyway. Bringing the returns up to date quickly is what limits the damage, and we deal with HMRC on your behalf. We have handled a great many of these over forty-five years and very few of them turn out to be as bad as the client feared.

Let’s take this off your plate.

A free, informal, no-obligation conversation. Bring your questions — leave with a fixed-fee quote.
